WHAT
PEOPLE
ARE SAYING
6-24-06
I
just
want
to compliment
everyone
involved
with
this
year's
Lavender
Days
Festival. Everything
about
it was
wonderful! I
appreciated
the
fact
that
there
was
no charge
and
free
parking. Basically
this
meant
that
I could
buy
a few
more
things
in the
gift
shops
than
I might
have
otherwise. Several
of those
things
will
make
nice
little
gifts
for
people
who
might
not
hear
of The
Lavender
Fields
any
other
way. Very
clever
in the
long
run! I
also
appreciated
that
activities
and
things
one
might
need
(like
more
water)
were
not
priced
prohibitively. We
also
were
very
grateful
for
your
excellent
directions
and
the
clear
signs
pointing
the
way. You
were
wise
to provide
this
as Mapquest
and
GPS
would
have
been
- as
you
told
us - completely
worthless. Our
experience
today
was
absolutely
delightful. Hope
you keep
doing
it so
we can
come
back
next
year
and
bring
friends! Sincerely,
Cynthia

Jim
was
doing
a routine
weed
burn
(he
had
a permit)
and
there
was
a backflash. The
force
knocked
him
10 feet
back. He
was
burned
on his
face
and
hands
(he
had
taken
off
his
gloves
just
a few
minutes
before
the backflash
happened). He
immediately
went
to a
aloe
vera
plant
and
broke
it open
and
rubbed
the
aloe
directly
onto
his
face. That
helped
immediately. Then
we went
into
the
house
and
applied
some
lavender
spray
and
a mix
of lavender
and
rosemary
that
we keep
on hand. He
works
a grave
years
shift,
so he
left
for
work
before
I got
home
from
work
that
day. When
he came
home
from
his
shift
on Friday
morning,
I was
shocked
to see
his
face
so red
and
turning
black. We
went
to the
emergency
room
right
away. On
the
way
over
we decided
to just make
sure
the
burn
was
not
getting
infected
and
then
to call
the
Lavender
Fields
to see
if their
shop
was
open
and
if they
had
some
burn
sauve. Sure
enough,
Jim
had
2nd
degree
burns. He
still
had
the
green
gel-juice
from
the
aloe
on his
face
and
the
doctor
said
he did
a good
job. I
am guessing
because
of the
aloe,
the
doctor
assumed
we were
into
natural
healing
so the
doctor
asked
what
we else
we planned
to do
for
the
burn
and
Jim
told
him
we were
headed
to the
lavender
fields
to get
some
burn
suave. Jim
told
the
doctor
that
we had
applied
an assortment
of essential
oils
and
aloe
vera
gel
straight
from
the
palnt.
The
doctor
then
said
that
he didn't
have
anything
better
that
we cold
give
him
for
the
burn.
We
headed
to the
Fields
and
telephoned
enroute. Paul
graciously
opened
up the
store
for
us and
showed
us the
best
products
for
Jim's
burn. We
applied
them
starting
Friday
afternoon. My
Monday
the
skin
was
peeling
off
Jim's
face
rapidly
(with
no pain)
and
by Wednesday
night
he had
a experienced
a facial
peel
and
his
skin
was
as soft
and
pliable
as a
newborn! It
was
amazing. People
who
know
what
happened
and
saw
the
results
were
coming
up to
Jim
asking
what
he did. Most
were
amazed
at how
smooth
and
clear
his
skin
had
become. There
was
no infection,
and
no pain.

“…just
an update on
the lavender
dog products that
we've been using.....
the shampoo & conditioner
are wonderful,

ear cleaning

for molly who

the bandanas
are really cute

Dear
M.E. and Paul,I
promised you
I would let
you know how
much we enjoy

Hi
Ellen, I met
you at the
Del Mar Harvest
Festival and
bought some lavender
water as
a sleep aid
(menopause
blues!) It
worked so
well, that
i came to
the S.D. show
and bought
more. I shared
a bottle with
my hair dresser,
who now says
she's addicted.
We
have an old
restless dog
that has a hard
time settling
down at night,
so one night
out of desperation,
I misted her
with the lavender
water and she
layed down and
went to sleep.
My husband couldn't
believe his
eyes, but he's
a believer now
and "Rosie" gets
her nightly
mist! Is that
too funny or
what?
Thanks
Ellen, and I'm
ordering more
today, some
for me, some
to share. Karen

Paul,
My
wife and I recognized
you Saturday
9/25 at the
Harvest Festival
after having
visited the
fields this
summer. Back
then, she bought
me some of the
lavender spray
(Organic
Floral Water)
to use for times
when I am tense
and cannot fall
asleep. I was
so surprised;
it works like
MAGIC!
Thank
you for your
time and patience
describing some
of the practical
steps it takes
to develop your
interesting
(and rather
delightful)
products.

Thank you for
running The
Lavender Fields.
It is great
place. I bought
a large
sachet (sort
of Victorian
style with little
purple stoneshanging
on little tassles)
for a friend
of mine. She
raves about
how much she
loves it. D.J.
Visited
your establishment
Sunday and managed
to pester Paul with
questions until
I was 86ed...White
haired guy that
eyed the cookie
that was being saved
for later. Very
enjoyable time,
very knowledgeable
people and PATIENT.
Thanks so much for
your time and look
forward to learning
more about your
operation. D.B.6-21-04

We
just visited
your place this
past Saturday
(June 19). What
a WONDERFUL
surprise to
see such a beautiful
place!!! You
have done a
marvelous job
in the short
time you have
been there.
When I get my
fiml developed,
I would like
to send you
a few pictures,
if that is O.K.
with you. Please
let me know.
Thank you for
helping to make
the world a
more "fragrant" place!!!

Hi
Ellen,
My
husband and
I went to the
festival on
Sunday and had
a great time!
We learned a
lot about distillation,
bee keeping
and how to cook
with lavender.
What a beautiful
place you have.
Thank-you,
Sharo

Dear
Ellen,
Hi,
we enjoyed ourselves
immensely yesterday
afternoon at
your lavender
fields. My wife
was able to
weave a little
basket, we received
some good cooking
tips, and just
generally found
our time there
most relaxing.
Congratulations
on creating
such a wonderful
retreat in Valley
Center. Sincerely,
T.M.
Dear
Ellen,
I
am a senior
property tax
consultant for
a BIG 4 accounting
firm. I am part
of a multi-state
practice so
our return filing
season begins
the end of January
and ends on
May 7th on the
California deadline.
During the past
four weeks,
I worked without
a single day
off. Evenings & weekends
found me burning
the midnight
oil to meet
various deadlines.
When I arrived
home late in
the evening
after a day
of constant
mental stimulation,
my body was
tired but my
brain was still
in overdrive.
To calm myself
down and catch
as much sleep
as possible,
I sprayed my
soft flannel
pillowcase with lavender
water,
inhaled deeply
three to five
times, and visualized
your fields
with the lazy,
tranquil bees
rolling around
in the air.
Every night
I quickly fell
into a deep,
dreamless sleep
and awoke the
next morning
refreshed and
energized and
ready to begin
another "taxing" day
at the office.
I simply could
not keep up
this pace at
my age if I
was sleep deprived.
Your lavender
spray got me
through a very
hectic and stressful
period in good
health and in
a reasonably
calm state of
mind. This is
the second tax
season that
I have habitually
used lavender
every night
to relax and
fall asleep.
I can't imagine
ever trying
to keep up this
pace without
the support
of your lovely
and effective
sleep aid. It
simply never,
ever fails.
Thanks
for a lovely
experience on
Mother's Day.
My vision of
the flowering
fields and lazy
bees has been
refreshed and
renewed by my
visit and I
stocked up on
more lavender
bottles for
my nightstand.
Sincerely,
Charlotte Wells

I
have been visiting
The Lavender Fields
since they first
opened. Every visit
brings a new experience.
Looking out over
the fields with
the bees and butterflies
mingling with the
lavender plants
is a joy to view,
a sense of peace
and tranquility
immediately pervades
the senses. You
touch a bud; rub
it in your hands
and the oils release
a fragrance that
is natural beyond
belief.
The
color purple
is my least
favorite color,
but now I always
call purple “lavender” and
I see purple
in a new light.
Walk
the labyrinth
and you will
experience a
journey that
is yours and
yours alone.

Thanks
for sharing
the joys of
Lavender.

"Thanks
for a great tour
of the fields. I
had attended your
seminar and looked
forward to seeing
the fields. I am
enjoying the floral
water. It really
helps me drift off
to sleep at night.
My little plant,
Grosso, is growing
well and is a lovely
reminder of the
day. I will be in
France in July and
may possible have
a chance to see
some of the fields
in the south."
